Election Simulations in the DR
May 11, 2008
The Political Science Club at my school recently conducted an election simulation. Each of the three major Dominican presidential candidates (Leonel Fernandez, Miguel Vargas, Amable Aristy) were represented by students who campaigned and debated the issues. The finale was a school-wide election (pre-k through 12th graders voted). This video is a brief overview of the work that went into the project. The election results are at the end. Can you guess who won? Who came in second? Third?

Spectacular job !!!. Very impressive. Congratulations to all.
Young minds at work are always impressive
What a great experiment to do with the kids…..good work Randy!
I should have added that the faculty and staff did not participate at all. This was completely student run from beginning to end and only students could vote.
We are also in the process of collecting post-election surveys to help determine why students voted the way they did (debate performances, family affiliations etc). I’ll post the info. here when I have it.
We looked so professional!
great job!;)
Which student decided to play the part of Ann Coulter?
