Why it’s okay to be Independent

July 31, 2008

mailbox.jpgI tend to receive a lot of emails like the following or, at least, with similar themes. Personally, I don’t have the desire to be officially affiliated with any political party. Of course, that could change in the future, but for now I enjoy being 100% “unattached.” This will be the last question I answer from TheCandidacy.com Mailbox until we decide to do so again or somebody sends a question I’m dying to answer publicly - whichever comes first. Is the New Yorker Cover of Obama Satirical?

July 30, 2008

mailbox.jpgWhen we originally started TheCandidacy.com mailbox feature our goal was to answer one or two questions a month in the form of posts. However, due to the overwhelming number of inquiries we receive, we’ve decided to answer a few questions directly. If your question is not answered in the form of a post, directly like today’s format, or via a personal email…well…it probably wasn’t a very good question, but feel free to keep trying.

Calling all Guest Bloggers

May 30, 2008

guest-bloggingGood morning! Today’s post has two objectives. First, the COS and I would like to take a moment to thank each and every one of our readers. Today marks four months since TheCandidacy.com opened for business and by all measurements things have been looking up ever since. So, if you’ve ever wanted to “blog for a day” your opportunity is finally here. Read more

It sits just outside of the Plaza de la Cultura (Cultural Plaza) which hosts the Dominican Republic’s major museums and National Theatre. Needless to say, people don’t use the public mail system. Just last week I received a “priority airmail” letter from the U.S. that reached the country in one day and then took 35 more days to find its way to my house. Luckily, here at TheCandidacy.com, we use a much more sophisticated system. It’s called email and we get a lot more of them than you might think. Read more
